Our commitment
Ready Little Heroes (RLH) provides educational safety adventures for children and resources for families, schools, youth groups, and community organizations. We designed the learning experience to work without creating student accounts or maintaining a central database of children's activities.
We do not request, accept, or maintain student rosters, children's personal records, or individual student progress reports. We ask schools and organizations not to send us any personal information about children or students.
Children's and students' information
RLH does not ask children to submit their names, home addresses, contact details, student IDs, photographs, or other identifying information to participate in learning activities. We do not create individual student profiles or a central student-progress database.
Schools, youth groups, and other organizations must not provide RLH with student rosters, attendance records, grades, medical information, parent contact lists, or other child-related personal records. If such information is accidentally sent to us, we will not use it for our services and will take appropriate steps to securely delete it.
Learning activity stays in your browser
RLH learning activities are designed so that progress and locally entered activity information stay within the browser on the device being used, rather than being saved in an RLH student database.
Because that information is stored locally:
- Clearing browser data, using private browsing, changing devices, or switching browser profiles may remove saved progress.
- RLH cannot retrieve or restore activity information that was never sent to us.
- On a shared computer or tablet, someone using the same browser profile may be able to see information saved there. Parents, educators, and program leaders should manage shared devices and clear local information when appropriate.
Schools and community organizations
RLH can be used by families, teachers, schools, Scout troops, youth programs, libraries, and other community groups. The participating organization manages its own enrollment information, family permissions, supervision, and internal records. Those records are not to be sent to RLH.
An organization's permission to use RLH does not authorize that organization to share children's personal information with RLH. We do not require student-level reporting from participating organizations.
Adult contacts, orders, and business records
RLH retains only information needed to communicate with adult customers and organizational representatives, deliver purchases, provide customer service, and maintain required business records. Depending on the transaction, this may include:
- The name of a school, district, business, or participating organization.
- The name and business contact details of an authorized adult representative.
- An adult purchaser's contact and delivery information when needed to fulfill an order.
- Order details, transaction status, invoices, and purchase history needed for customer support, accounting, and legal obligations.
This information is not used to create student profiles. We keep business records only as long as needed for their legitimate purpose or as required by law.
Purchases and payments
RLH offers one-time purchases. We do not offer recurring subscriptions or automatic subscription renewals.
RLH does not store payment card numbers, security codes, or full card details. Payment information needed to complete a purchase is handled through the payment service used at checkout. That provider may process payment and transaction data under its own privacy and security practices.
If an order requires delivery or outside fulfillment, the relevant provider may receive the adult purchaser's necessary order and shipping details. No student roster or child activity record is required to place an order.
Website delivery and outside services
Even when a learning activity is browser-local, internet infrastructure and service providers may process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser information, or security logs, to deliver pages and protect the website. Checkout providers and external websites may also process information when an adult chooses to use them.
This is different from RLH maintaining an individual student account or progress database. RLH's policy is not to use children's personal information for behavioral advertising, to sell student data, or to send children's activity records to schools or sponsors.
Links to outside websites or services are governed by those services' own privacy practices. Parents and organizers should review those practices when leaving RLH.
Questions, corrections, or accidental submissions
Adults may use the Contact Us link on the Ready Little Heroes website to ask questions about this policy, request correction or deletion of adult customer information where applicable, or report student information sent to us by mistake.
Please do not include a child's name, student record, or other child-identifying details when contacting us. We will provide a secure way to address the issue if additional information is truly necessary.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice if our services or information practices change. The date above shows when it was last updated.
